Our Programs
This course is designed to provide students with skills and competence in a variety of administrative and certain clinical duties performed under the direction of a physician.
Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and dispensing medications as directed by a physician.
Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and billing and coding for insurance purposes.
Thousands of trained technicians are needed throughout the country to perform these vital functions.
A one hundred and sixty (160) hour externship is included in the program's curriculum. Upon completion of the Externship, students will receive a certificate.
Upon successful completion of the program, the student may test for the National Healthcareer Association’s certification exams as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified EKG Technician (CET), and Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT).
